OLL (Orient Last Layer)
OLL orients all pieces on the last layer. There are 2 OLL cases for the 2×2 cube.
PLL (Permute Last Layer)
PLL permutes (arranges) all pieces on the last layer into their correct positions. There are 3 PLL cases for the 2×2 cube.
Ortega Method Overview
The Ortega method is perfect for beginners and speedcubers alike. Here's how it works:
- First Face: Solve one face completely (any color).
- OLL: Orient all pieces on the last layer (2 cases).
- PLL: Permute all pieces on the last layer (3 cases).
With just 5 algorithms total, you can solve the 2×2 cube efficiently!
