OLL (Orient Last Layer)

OLL orients all pieces on the last layer. There are 2 OLL cases for the 2×2 cube.

OLL 1: All Oriented

All corners are already oriented correctly.

OLL 2: Sune

Three corners oriented, forming an L-shape pattern.

PLL (Permute Last Layer)

PLL permutes (arranges) all pieces on the last layer into their correct positions. There are 3 PLL cases for the 2×2 cube.

PLL 1: Adjacent Swap

Swap two adjacent corners.

PLL 2: Diagonal Swap

Swap two diagonal corners.

PLL 3: All Solved

All corners are already in their correct positions.

Ortega Method Overview

The Ortega method is perfect for beginners and speedcubers alike. Here's how it works:

  1. First Face: Solve one face completely (any color).
  2. OLL: Orient all pieces on the last layer (2 cases).
  3. PLL: Permute all pieces on the last layer (3 cases).

With just 5 algorithms total, you can solve the 2×2 cube efficiently!
